Eric: None of it was intentional, it all developed and evolved over time. My inspiration is drawn from everything I see, feel and experience. My love of light, color, and form together produces a warm humanity resulting in an intense visual delight in my art. My works are intended to invite the viewer to a new experience and relationship with their own emotions. It was in the galleries of West Africa, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Atlanta and other United States cities that I found the cultural ground in which to locate my paintings. My works are energized abstractions that focus on sumptuous color, spatial experience, light and atmospheric motion to highlight tensions between the physical world and the world of the mind, not to forget the spiritual. My end goal is to make one pause and absorb the wonder of what surrounds us physically and mentally. My keen sense of color forms the core of my work.
